How to Reset Your PayMyDoctor Password — Complete Steps
Step 1: Go to the official PayMyDoctor site
Type www.paymydoctor.com directly into your browser. For your security, avoid clicking links from emails at this stage.
Step 2: Click the Login button
You’ll find it in the top right corner of the homepage.
Step 3: Click “Forgot Password?”
This link is just below the password field on the login page. Click it to continue.
Step 4: Enter your registered email address
Type in the same email address you used when you set up your PayMyDoctor account. Then click “Send Reset Link” or “Continue”.
Step 5: Check your email
You should receive a password reset email from PayMyDoctor or Veradigm within 2 to 5 minutes. The sender is usually noreply@paymydoctor.com or support@veradigm.com.
Step 6: Click the reset link
Open the email and click the reset link inside. This will take you to a secure page where you can create a new password. Do this soon, as reset links expire after a certain time (usually 24 hours, but sometimes less).
Step 7: Create your new password
Type your new password, then enter it again to confirm. Make sure your password meets these requirements:
- Minimum 8 characters
- At least one uppercase letter
- At least one lowercase letter
- At least one number
- Special characters recommended for security
Step 8: Save and log in
Click Save or Reset Password. Then go back to www.paymydoctor.com, choose Login, and sign in using your new password and your Practice ID.
Reset Email Not Arriving — What to Do
If the reset email doesn’t arrive within 5 minutes:
- Check your spam or junk folder. PayMyDoctor reset emails often end up there.
- If you use Gmail, look in your Promotions tab as well.
- Make sure you entered the correct email address. If you have more than one, try your other email addresses too.
- If you still haven’t received the email, go back to the Forgot Password page and request the link again. Then wait another 5 minutes.
- Check if your email provider is experiencing delivery delays. Sometimes, emails can take up to 15 minutes to arrive during busy times.
- Add noreply@paymydoctor.com to your safe senders list. This helps ensure future emails don’t go to your spam folder.
Reset Link Not Working
If you click the reset link and see “Link expired” or “Invalid link”:
- Request a new reset link, since old links expire for security reasons. Go back to the Forgot Password page and request another one.
- Use the new link as soon as you get it. Open it right away so it doesn’t expire.
- If clicking the link doesn’t work, copy the entire URL from the email and paste it into your browser’s address bar.
- Don’t try to use the same reset link more than once. After you use it, it won’t work again.
Don’t Know Which Email You Registered With?
If you’re not sure which email address you used for your account, here’s how you can find out:
- Check your email inboxes and search for “PayMyDoctor” or “Veradigm” in each account. The email address that received messages from PayMyDoctor is the one you used to sign up.
- Look at your billing statement. The email address shown there could be the one you used to register.
- You can also use the Forgot Username option. For step-by-step help, see our guide here: /paymydoctor/forgot-username/
- If you still can’t get into your account, you can make a payment without logging in by using Guest Pay. Learn more here: PayMyDoctor Guest Payment →
After Resetting — Tips to Avoid Future Lockouts
Use a password manager. Tools like LastPass, 1Password, or your browser’s built-in password manager can securely store your PayMyDoctor credentials.
Store your Practice ID. Write it down somewhere safe along with your password, since you will need both each time you log in.
Enable two-factor authentication. This adds security without making you remember another password.
Use your email as your username. If you have a separate username, consider switching to your email address because it is easier to remember.
