About Amala

For almost three years, I’ve been helping people understand why their doctor’s bill says one thing, their insurance says another, and the online payment portal shows something completely different.

This all began with my own experience: a hospital visit, a confusing bill, a payment portal I’d never seen before, and no helpful information online about how any of it worked.

The websites I found were either the official portals (which only help once you’re logged in, but not if you can’t get that far) or short, clearly AI-written guides that no one seemed to have actually tried.

So I decided to try them out myself.

Each guide on this site starts with an actual billing statement and a real visit to the payment portal. I write down the exact login steps, where to find specific numbers on real bills, what error messages look like, what the confirmation screen shows, and what to do if something goes wrong. Then I publish the guide and update it whenever the portal changes.

What “Verified by Amala” Means

  • I visited the portal myself and tried out the process I’m describing.
  • I checked the login steps, field formats, and how errors show up, all from my own experience.
  • I recorded the date I verified everything, and you can see this date on every guide.
  • I go back and check the guides again whenever the portal interface changes.

Here, guides aren’t based on what competitors say or guesses about how things work. Every step I describe is one I’ve actually done myself.

What This Site Covers

PayPortalGuide.com is the only independent resource made just for patients who need help with medical bill payment portals. Here, you’ll find guides on logging in, making payments, fixing problems, and understanding your billing statement.

Portals covered:

  • PayMyDoctor.com (operated by Veradigm).
  • PerYourHealth.com (operated by Parallon/HCA).
  • ePayItOnline.com (operated by Change Healthcare).
  • QuickPayPortal.com (operated by Quadax).
  • MyMedicalMe.com.
  • We also add new portals regularly.

What I’m Not

I am not a licensed healthcare provider, a certified medical billing specialist (CMBS), or a financial advisor. I write these guides from my perspective as a patient and researcher, not as a credentialed billing professional.

This site is fully independent. I am not connected to any portal, billing company, hospital system, or healthcare organisation. These guides are here to help patients, not to promote any particular portal or payment system.

Editorial Standards

Every guide on PayPortalGuide.com follows these standards:

  • Personally tested before publishing.
  • Dated: Every guide shows when we last checked it.
  • Updated when portals change their interface or processes.
  • Honest: if a portal has known problems or gets frequent complaints, we mention it.
  • Scam-aware: we clearly flag fake portal domains and lookalike sites.

Contact and Corrections

Have you noticed a change? Maybe a login step is different, there’s a new error message, or the portal looks updated. Your feedback really helps. Guides stay accurate when real patients let us know about updates.
